Founded in 1996, the Stroehmann Bakeries Walk/Run Against Hunger brings together more than 3,500 people to raise awareness and funds to fight hunger in our own communities. 

Every year, hundreds of thousands of our neighbors turn to Philadelphia's estimated 700 soups kitchens and food pantries. The Walk/Run Against Hunger allows these important programs to raise money to purchase the food, equipment and other items needed to serve families in need.

In 2010, the Walk/Run Against Hunger $250,000 for more than 100 hunger-relief agencies throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey
