Acme and the Philadelphia Eagles are partnering for the third annual Teaming Up to Kick Hunger campaign to benefit the Coalition! The campaign kicked off at the Thomas' Walk Against Hunger and will run through May 5th.
Shoppers in local Acme stores can purchase a $10 bag of healthy groceries which will be donated to the Coalition's two Green Light Pantries in Philadelphia which provide only nutritious food to those in need.
Over the last two years, nearly 300,000 pounds of healthy food have been donated through this campaign.
Executive Director Laura Wall says the support is invaluable. "The healthy food drives spearheaded by our wonderful partners Acme and The Philadelphia Eagles has a significant and direct impact on our communities", Wall said.
"The pantries who receive the donation are incredibly grateful because it enables them to provide something to their clients that they don't always have access to — nutritious foods to feed their families. The impact of this drive really can't be understated."
