Anne Ayella (Chair)
Nutritional Development Services, Archdiocese of Philadelphia

Anne Ayella is the Assistant Director at Nutritional Development Services, which administers federally funded Child Nutrition Programs in Philadelphia and provides free or reduced-price meals at local schools, community centers and childcare centers.

Michael Armento
Please Touch Museum
Michael Armento is the Chief Financial Officer of the Please Touch Museum. Mr. Armento has been with the Museum since 2008 and previously served as Director of Finance. In this position, Mr. Armento will be overseeing the financial and accounting functions of the museum, including financial reporting and record keeping, budgeting, forecasting and the Museum’s IT functions.Prior to working at Please Touch Museum, Mr. Armento worked as the Business Manager at Food Export USA-Northeast, a non-profit trade association focused on facilitating trade between local food producers and importers from around the world. He also worked as controller for Saint Joseph’s Preparatory School. His ten years of accounting experience have qualified him to sit as a candidate for the Certified Management Accountant examination. Mr. Armento holds a BS in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and he is a member of both the Institute of Management Accountants and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.

Mary Burns
GlaxoSmithKline
Mary Burns is a Finance Manager at GlaxoSmithKline, having joined the Company in 2000. She is a Certified Public Accountant and is pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration at LaSalle University, with an expected graduation date of May 2010.

Vikki C. Lassiter
African American Collaborative Obesity Research Network
Vikki Lassiter is the Director of the African American Collaborative Obesity Research Network (AACORN) based at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. The African American Collaborative Obesity Research Network is a national network with members based in 18 states throughout the U.S. Lassiter has more than 15 years of diversified experience in strategic planning, project management, community organizing and business development. Lassiter earned a Master’s of Science in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University.

John Marcoux
Bimbo Bakeries
John Marcoux has been the Business Director - Northeast Mainstream Brands for Bimbo Bakeries, Inc. for the past four years.  Prior to this he was the Category Director of Marketing – Bread for George Weston Banking Co., Inc.  He has over 20 years of experience in strategic development and brand marketing programs and has been directly responsible for the management of several key branding campaigns for various regional food-based companies, including Stroehmann’s, Maiers, D’Italiano breads.

Jeannine McCullough
Jeannine McCullough brings more than 20 years of experience in management, business strategy development and providing coaching expertise to companies and clients. She has held executive management roles with the Del Monte Foods Co. and the Eight O’Clock Coffee Co., leading and developing management teams, business strategy and business development. McCullough has held numerous board positions, including those for the Network of Executive Women for the Consumer Products & Retail Food Industry and for Nutritional Development Services, Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Yvette Palmer

Helping Hands for the Hungry, St. Cyprian Church
Yvette Palmer spent 30 years as secondary math teacher in Philadelphia’s public schools before retiring in 2008. She now serves as director of Helping Hands for the Hungry, a soup kitchen at St. Cyprian Church in West Philadelphia, where she coordinates and hosts a monthly Saturday lunch for community members in need. Palmer has a Master’s in Education from Temple University.

Robin Rifkin
Health Promotion Council
Robin Rifkin is a Nutritionist at Health Promotion Council in Philadelphia, where she works on the Eat.Right.Now Nutrition Education Program for the School District of Philadelphia and manages nutrition education for City Harvest, a Pennsylvania Horticultural Program partnership-gleaning program. She has served as Project Director for SHARE Food Program’s Nutrition Education Program and as President of the Delaware Valley Society of Nutrition Educators and the Women’s Culinary Guild. She is a member of the Mitzvah Food Projects Advisory Group, and co-founder and operator of the Tuv Ha’Aretz Community Supported Agriculture Program at her synagogue.

Karen A. Wallace

Karen Wallace has been Vice President and Assistant Treasurer with ARAMARK Corporation for over six years.  With over 30 years experience, she is a financial professional with a consistent record of accomplishment in both treasury and operational roles.  Karen has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and an MBA from The University of Michigan.  As a resident of the city and avid cook she feels a strong connection to food and the importance of seeking solutions to ensure that no one needs to go hungry.
