Prior to joining the Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger in 2007, Carey Morgan served as the Special Assistant to the Interim CEO at the American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter, where she helped coordinate local responses to disasters like Hurricane Katrina and the Indonesian Tsunami. She has six years of experience in the financial sector, working as a Strategic Partnership Consultant for a leading investment firm based in Atlanta.  In addition to her professional pursuits, Morgan has more than 17 years of volunteer experience, having served with organizations such as the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Christian Community Action, Emory Reads, Hands On Atlanta, Adopt-A-Grandparent and SistaSpace Collective, Inc. Her passion for justice and poverty alleviation inspired her to translate her business knowledge into efficient and effective outcomes in the nonprofit sector. Morgan has a Master’s in Sustainable Development from SIT Graduate Institute and received her Bachelor’s in History from Georgetown University.
