Demand is increasing for area soup kitchens and food pantries as organizers get ready for next month's Walk Against Hunger.
The 14th annual Walk Against Hunger happens on April 10th and can't come soon enough for hundreds of soup kitchens, food pantries and other feeding organizations who depend on the proceeds of the walk and run to fund their operations for the next year.

On Saturday, April 10, you made a difference in the fight against hunger in our communities.
More than 3,500 people came out on Saturday, April 10 for the Stroehmann Bakeries Walk Against Hunger & 5K Run. The 14th annual event brought together students from local universities and high schools; local businesses and neighborhood associations; families and church groups; and seasoned athletes as well as first-time 5K Runners.

For the past 13 years, the Walk Against Hunger has brought together thousands of individuals to raise money for food pantries, soup kitchens and hunger-relief agencies in Southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey. With a record number of people seeking food assistance over the past year, this year’s event needs more support than ever.
