Aid for Friends provides weekly home-cooked dinners, friendly visiting, and supplemental outreach services to isolated, primarily elderly shut-ins.
Campaign for Working Families: www.gpuac.org
The Campaign for Working Families promotes free filing of the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and connects low-income Philadelphia residents to other tax credits, public benefits and asset-building resources. This year, the Campaign filed tax returns for more than 10,000 individuals, resulting in EITC, other credits, and refunds in the amount of $15 million. The Coalition Against Hunger is pleased to be a partner in this effort, providing easier access to food stamp benefits.

The Food Trust works to improve access to affordable, nutritious food, enhance the health of children and adults through better nutrition, support local farms, and encourage environmental sustainability.

The GROW Clinic is a multidisciplinary team-based clinic at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children that focuses on young children with 'failure to thrive' and their families. Families whose children are identified as underweight are referred to The GROW Clinic, where a multidisciplinary team provides a comprehensive plan to improve nutrition and promote growth for the child and family.

The Jewish Relief Agency is an organization whose aim is to identify and feed needy Jewish families in the Greater Philadelphia region.

Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance (MANNA) provides home-delivered and congregate meals, along with nutritional counseling and education, to people at acute nutritional risk with a life threatening illness (such as cancer and HIV) in the Delaware Valley.
The Mitzvah Food Project: www.jewishphilly.org
Sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, the Mitzvah Food Project coordinates the distribution and collection of non-perishable food and personal care items. Under its auspices, five pantries operate in the area offering assistance regardless of income or religion.

NORTH is a nonprofit health promotion organization that manages the Supplemental Food and Nutrition Education Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), a in Philadelphia County. The WIC Program serves to safeguard the health of low-income women, infants, & children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating, and referrals to health care.

As an agency of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Nutritional Development Services(NDS) runs many food drives during the year benefiting local soup kitchens and food cupboards. NDS also serves as the administrator of several federally funded Child Nutrition Programs at local schools and community centers.

Philabundance works to end hunger and malnutrition in the Greater Philadelphia region by rescuing surplus food and distributing it to local organizations serving people in need. Twenty-seven percent of the food produced in the U.S. goes to waste while millions go hungry, a contradiction this organization is fighting to change.

The Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA) connects older people to such important food and nutrition services as meals on wheels, group dining at senior centers, and other benefits programs and entitlements.

SHARE (Self Help & Resource Exchange) is a community-based nonprofit community-building network that provides wholesome and nutritious food to families and individuals. SHARE and its regional affiliates purchase food together, thereby enjoying bulk purchasing discounts. The savings are passed on to consumers who contribute two hours of community service. SHARE, based in Philadelphia, also distributes food packages to emergency feeding programs as a part of Pennsylvania's publicly supported State Food Purchase Program and the federally funded TEFAP.
