On Hunger Awareness Day, June 6, 2006 in conjunction with the release of the report, Making Food Stamps Work, Governor Rendell announced two initiatives designed to reduce barriers to food stamp enrollment for eligible low-income Pennsylvanians. The University of Pennylvania in their release spoke of the value of the Food Stamp Enrollment Campaign for academically-based service learning courses.
