The 23rd annual Walk Against Hunger was a huge success! Thank you to everyone for all of your support and enthusiasm. Please visit this page for photos of the event, as well as our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages.
The Coalition's goal is to alleviate hunger in our region. For the last 23 years our Walk Against Hunger has just done that by helping food pantries, soup kitchens and other anti-hunger groups raise much needed funds. These organizations are dedicated to helping their neighbors put food on their tables. Please join us in this important work -- by joining the Walk! We hope to see you there. -Laura Wall
Each year The Walk Against Hunger raises around $200,000 for anti-hunger organizations throughout our region. In 2018 those included nearly 70 food pantries and soup kitchens, who feed thousands of people each month. The Coalition created this event more than two decades ago to provide support to the hundreds of small, mostly volunteer-run pantries and soup kitchens in our region struggling to meet the needs of their communities. In that respect The Coalition's Walk has been a huge success.
But there's another way that the event is impactful -- The Walk Against Hunger brings hundreds of community members together for a day of food, fun, and entertainment. It allows us to do something important and active to end hunger right in our own neighborhoods!
Please join our Movement to end Hunger and support this important, and family-friendly event.
