KYW NEWSRADIO 1060: Tough Economic Times Hitting Area Soup Kitchens Hard

Community members and those who work in area soup kitchens and food cupboards gather on Tuesday to celebrate their work in feeding those who need it in the community, but they say the work is harder than ever.
About 75 representatives of food cupboards and soup kitchens in the area will gather with members of the Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger to receive their share of the funds gathered from the April Walk Against Hunger.
They will also recognize each other for the work that they do in feeding the ever increasing numbers of people who need help with food.
