Food Stamp Advocates
Food stamp advocates help more Philadelphians put food on their tables, by visiting health centers, employment centers and other community sites to screen low-income individuals for food stamp eligibility and provide application assistance. No experience necessary; training will be provided.

Service Learning Opportunities
The Food Stamp Campaign offers college students the opportunity to participate in service learning. Internships, field placements and work-study assignments can be integrated into coursework related to: poverty and social justice, political science, sociology, social work, nutrition, health, education and communications. The Food Stamp Campaign now works with students from Bryn Mawr College, Haverford College, LaSalle University, St. Joseph's University, Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania. Philadelphia's Higher Education Network for Neighborhood Development (PHENND) has helped to coordinate many of these placements.
Coming Spring 2010: Food Pantry Volunteer Match
A new volunteer match program will allow Web visitors to search and sign up for volunteer opportunities at a local food pantry or soup kitchen. The program is made possible with funding from Stroehmann Nourishing Neighbors.
