Service Learning Opportunity

The Food Stamp Enrollment Campaign provides an ideal opportunity for students to engage in service learning. Internships, field placements, and work-study assignments can be integrated into coursework related to poverty and social justice, political science, sociology, social work, nutrition, health, education, and communications. Currently, students from Bryn Mawr College, Haverford College, LaSalle University, St. Joseph's University, Temple University, and the University of Pennsylvania are working with the Campaign. Philadelphia's Higher Education Network for Neighborhood Development (PHENND) has helped to coordinate many of these placements.
