How the Walk+Run Helps:

Since the start of the recession, a record number of families have sought help from food pantries and soup kitchens for the first time in their lives. Many of these programs rely on the Walk to buy food, kitchen equipment and other necessities to serve the growing number of people coming to them for help.

In addition to supporting local food pantries and soup kitchens, the Walk also benefits the region's leading hunger-relief agencies, including the Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger, SHARE, Philabundance and The Food Trust. Learn more

Hunger in Our Community:

In the U.S., more than 1 in 5 children don't know where their next meal is coming from.

Here in Philadelphia, nearly one in two children received help from a food pantry last year.  Learn more
