The VIP (Victory in Partnership) Project
The Victory in Partnership (VIP) Project supports food pantries in the Philadelphia area by:
- Providing them with funding, equipment, workshops, technology and other tools to improve their programs.
- Networking them within their communities, so they can work together to fight hunger. Coordinators of VIP food pantries and soup kitchens meet monthly in their respective regions (North, Northwest, Northeast, West and Center City/South Philadephia) to discuss how they can better serve their communities.
Adopt-a-Pantry
VIP food pantries and soup kitchens fundraise online through Adopt-A-Pantry. This unique website portal enables visitors to learn more about these programs and donate online to help programs buy food, cooking utensils, kitchen equipment or other programs necessities.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers can donate their time to VIP food pantries and soup kitchens in Philadelphia. This volunteer database allows visitors to search for opportunities based on location, days of operation and function.
Stroehmann Nourishing Neighbors Program
The Coalition administers funds to food pantries and soup kitchens for food, equipment, transportation and other needs. Funding is provided by Stroehmann Bakeries, ACME Markets and Giant Food Stores.
The VIP Project is made possible with funding from the William Penn Foundation and Stroehmann Nourishing Neighbors.
